Region of the Month at One Place Studies

We're very pleased to have been announced "Region of the Month" by One Place Studies (OPS). So what's a one place study? Alex Coles of the OPS website does a great job of summing it up as "where genealogy and local history meet."

One Place Studies aren't overly common in Australia but the concept is to study all the residents of a particular place through the gathering of historical records, memorabilia and stories. This information is then used to reconstruct the lives of the place's people and gives great insights into the history of that place.

We didn't set out as a one place study but we've certainly become one (or three!) with the Coorow-Waddy DatabaseCarnamah-Winchester Database and Three Springs Database on our website.
